It was a typical Fall day today since this morning was sunny and crisp for the family session and this afternoon, well, you can see the clouds in the photos below…
For the late afternoon shoot, I switched up the location from Richmond’s south riverfront to the north and an area known as the Middle Arm Waterfront Greenway. Clouds and cool air rolled in for the evening, but beautiful location with its interesting urban waterfront details including piers and benches made the shoot easy on the eyes, especially the views of the Fraser River, North Shore and Coastal mountains. The views from this stretch of River get me everytime <sigh> I <3 Vancouver…
Calling this an ‘e-session’ is a bit of a misnomer, so let’s just say that this e-session is almost like a prediction for the future. Technically they aren’t engaged – yet, but have been living together for a while, so there’s that LOL. Anyways, after much good-natured bullying, Leanne convinced her partner Dale to participate in a lifestyle portrait session and once on location, Dale loosened up quickly. He really seemed to enjoy the process, particularly after I encouraged him to tickle and tease Leanne LOL! Leanne was a trooper, enduring the cool waterfront air without a coat for much of the shoot – you go girl!
Anyways, I had lots of fun with you two, please let me know when you need me for the actual e-session – I’m ready, willing and able ;^)

This cute couple walk this stretch waterfront all the time with their adorable daughter, so it seemed only fitting that their lifestyle portrait session take place where they spend a lot of time – Steveston Village and Imperial Landing.
The Landing and boardwalk is an homage to the history of Steveston, its canneries and shipbuilding. It was a little chilly along the water but the moment the sun popped out for minute the morning warmed up nicely. We walked, we chatted, we changed the little one’s wardrobe a number of times lol… and most of all we enjoyed a lovely, Fall morning while capturing family memories in the sunshine. Perfect!

One with an adorable family and the happiest baby girl I’ve seen in a while… and second with a sweet couple along the Middle Arm Greenway. Should be fun!
