We’ve had great weather in Vancouver lately, so I’ve been taking advantage of it by heading out with the camera gear and taking some great pics. As mentioned before, I’m a little obsessed with HDR photography and the from here, I will link you to 4 new HDR shoot galleries.
The first shoot was in Steveston Village in Richmond, BC… Great late afternoon and early evening light provided loads of opportunities for me to shoot some great HDR images in my neighbourhood.
Here is a sample for your viewing pleasure:

Then, later on in the week I decided that I need to do another shoot to continue fleshing out the HDR book I’m doing about Richmond BC. I couldn’t forget about historic Britannia Heritage Shipyards… So I spent a bit of time with my gear and my tripod at the boathouse and captured some wonderful, richly textured images of the interior of Britannia. Love these so much.

Then, I decided that I need some peaceful contemplation while engaging in my photographic pursuits, so I headed over the the beautiful Nitobe Japanese Gardens at UBC in Vancouver. Gorgeous and quiet, this oasis in the heart of Vancouver’s largest university is a joy to visit and to shoot.

Finally this weekend, I went to the Skagit Valley Tulip festival with my friend and co-worker Yvonne and today, I dropped by VanDusen Botanical to get my annual taste of spring in Vancouver. Both days the weather was cooperative, lovely and sunny with some great cloud masses in the distance – all making HDR springtime lush and full of colour and vibrance. Here are two more samples to tease you with, click on the gallery links to view the complete galleries for both stellar locations.

I hope you enjoy the images… I thoroughly enjoy taking them and bring them to life. More coming soon…
