With all the craziness from the holidays running full-tilt for the last couple of weeks, two artshows and me wrapping up my Fall 2009 semester at Langara Community College on December 19, it’s been a crazy time for trying to blog about anything much less the three+ new shoots I’ve finished in the last month!
I recently completed my Intermediate Digital & Workflow course [finished with an A-] and my Landscape Photography course [with an A+ YAY ME!] and thought I would share my favorites from my last in-class studio shoot and my A-graded final assignment in Digital Intermediate.
I also wanted to share my recent family and couple portrait sittings. The weather has been pretty cooperative with only a few days that were non-shooting days [basically dumping RAIN]! Most days and afternoons have been either sunny, low cloud or a mix of sun and cloud. Truth be told I’m actually kinda loving the cloudy overcast skies lately since the colour saturation in my captures are super rich and textured and with the nice even light, there are no harsh shadows! Beautiful… a perfect combination. Now if only the weather would warm up slightly so I could stop carrying hot-shots in my pockets all the time LOL!
First up… My colleague Angela and her adorable family – Ange’s 3.5 and 2yr. old kids Finlay and Hayden are my new bestest friends!

Today… an old friend from elementary school and his sweetheart. Click here for the online gallery…
The in-class studio shoot was an ‘assignment class’ and was a final contributing mark to my overall term grade of A-. Have to say that I love studio lighting but cha-ching! Wow is studio lighting ever expensive… One day I’ll get there and either will be booking rental space on a consistent level, or will invest in the equipment myself. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites from the shoot…
