Shooting at ROO

After a 4-hour, LONG morning of shooting the “Exercise Gold” [an Olympic emergency preparedness exercise] this morning for the City of Richmond and an afternoon photo-op at the Richmond Olympic Oval [aka ROO] I, being a glutton for punishment, headed back to ROO for one more photoshoot to capture the evening light and artwork on the eastern side of the building.

I thought I would only be about 30 minutes, but 90 minutes later and rolling into the driveway at 9:30pm, I had 30+ unbelieveable shots of the public art/landscape by Janet Echelman and the City called Water Sky Garden.

I’m now shooting with both a Canon 40D and the brand spanking new Canon 7D [18MP!!!]. I’m in love with the 7D. It is magic, and the tripod helps too LOL!
All the images in the web gallery were shot between 100-200ISO, 10-30sec. shutter speed at f11.
